BACK IN THE HUNT A horrible pitch once again for this fixture. Probably not quite as horrible as the year before but still not a pitch that suits the Monday possession and fast flowing football.

It took quite a while for Monday to get to grips with the game. Not only was the pitch causing havoc but Frampton (with only 10 men) sat quite deep. The new front 3 of Arron, Guy and Guy's mate were not quite clicking.

Monday eventually got their goal from Jason H. Neat header.

1-0 to Monday at half time. More work to be done in the 2nd half. Monday knew that Frampton had come back from a losing position last year and didn't want a repeat.

Jason H bagged his 2nd goal from a corner. Towering above the Frampton defence on both occasions

Guy got a goal after a neat run and finish past their keeper. He thought it would never come.

Manny also bagged a goal after some good running into the box once he had changed positions.

Al got Monday's final goal to make it 5-0. A neat ball played over the top found Al who excellently controlled with his chest and neatly finished past the keeper. Goal of the day!

A great game to be a part of and Frampton were gracious in defeat. A nice and easy day for Josh and the defence. So easy that Jason L pulled his hammy after 60 minutes of not doing much! The only frustration was that it wasn't more!

MOM -  Jason Hughes.  Jason bagged a brace and controlled everything in the centre of the park. He ran his socks off as well. A special mention also to Lee who had his best game of the season. Always tracking back and finding neat positions going forward. At least one assist for Lee and it would have been way more had the finishing been better.
