CRICKET SCORE INCLUDING A 'FIVE-FOR' Monday came into this fixture off the back of a 5-0 win and flying high. It was a much needed victory to get back in the title race. Also - Monday felt that the previous game against Banjo slipped away from them despite being the better side. The pitch was not a pitch that Monday were used to playing on and it felt very small.

The game got off to the worst possible start with Banjo going 1-0 up inside 30 seconds.  Banjo got a corner and floated it on top of Josh who was put under pressure and it bumbled its way in. Time to wake up Monday!

Monday were straight back into it and within 5-10 minutes, Monday were 3-1 up! First of all Monday got a free kick outside of the Banjo box and despite a decent sized wall, Pillsy slotted it round the wall and low into the bottom right-hand corner. 1-1

Guy made it 2-1 with a neat finish from the left hand side of the box. Then Arron made it 3-1 with a neat finish from the right-hand side of the box.

Banjo were getting frustrated and one of their players in particular was starting to mouth off quite a bit. Even laying his hands on Mike the ref at one stage.

There was a lot of possession from Monday throughout the whole fixture

Monday went 4-1 and 5-1 up with Guy finishing neatly with his left foot and then Arron finishing with his left foot after Pillsy had had 3 shots blocked and decided to play it off to Arron who was unmarked.

Half-time.

The second half started in much the same way as the 1st half finished. Everything was Monday and Banjo had basically given up. An easier day for Josh and the defence and a horrible day for the lone Banjo striker.

Guy scored his hat-trick goal when the Banjo keeper tried kicking it away only to find Guy who neatly curled one over the keeper's head and into the empty net.

3 more goals for Monday with one coming from the penalty spot for Arron who was dragged down in the box. Another from Arron after neat work from Pillsy down the right hand side and slotted it back for Arron who just about kept it down into the bottom right-hand corner.  And also a header from Arron on the edge of the box from a neat cross by Manny.

The Banjo centre back who was mouthing off in the 1st half gave up also so even he was calm in the second half.

The game had a slightly bitter end when Stu K was injured inside the box after firing just wide. Miss of the day goes to Manny after missing from just a few yards out. And how Pillsy only scored 1 will forever be a mystery.

A great game all round with 10/10 performances all round. Both James Philpott who came onto replace Jason L and Morgs who came on to replace Guy were excellent also. Monday gave Banjo absolutely nothing and Lee and Manny also had excellent games on the flanks.

The midfield was the area that Banjo were arguably strongest but Stu, Jason H and Jamie kept them very quiet and made it easy for the front 3 to score 9 goals.

MOM - Arron Godfrey. Difficult to give it to anyone else when 5 goals have been scored by one player!
